History
Westlink Global Equities, Inc., formerly Wellex Global Equities, Inc., was incorporated on February 8, 1988 as a stockbrokerage based in Manila, Philippines. With an authorized capital stock of PhP 100 million, PhP 80 million of which is paid-up, we have grown our business to become part of the top 35% of all brokerage houses in the Philippines.
We remain to be a related party of The Wellex Group of Companies. The Wellex Group has business interests in plastic manufacturing and distribution, real estate and property management, hotel/resort management, gaming, banking and finance, air transportation, energy exploration and several joint ventures with strategic partners. The Group intends to be a major player in the world market.
Mission
We are a member-broker of the Philippine Stock Exchange. While protecting the interests of our stockholders, we aim to maximize the wealth of our retail and institutional clients, both foreign and local, who invest in the Philippine Stock Market. Our best resource is our people who are dynamic, well trained and excellence-driven. We shall provide efficient, friendly and personalized service.
In active pursuit of our mission, we aim to work within a “winning culture” in order to continuously upgrade the quality of life of our employees, clients, shareholders, and our society as a whole.

Mr. Rafael O. Muñoz is the President, Chief Executive Officer and Nominee of Westlink Global Equities, Inc since September 2008. He has substantial background in the banking sector. He served as an Account Officer of Banco De Oro Universal Bank for 10 years (1998-2008). He also worked in Solidbank Corporation (1996-1997), Citytrust Securities Corporation in Sales & Marketing/Head Trader (1990-1996) and Citytrust Banking Corporation (1986-1988). He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Commerce, major in Management of Financial Institutions at De La Salle University – Manila in 1984.
Bernardo D. Panuelos
Vice President / CFO
Mr. Bernardo D. Panuelos is the Vice President and Chief Finance Officer of Westlink Global Equities, Inc. He has more than thirty (30) years of experience in trading and salesmanship. He worked as a floor trader in Jalandoni, Jayme, Adams (1979-1982), Wong Securities Corporation (1982-1989), and Citytrust Securities Corporation (1990-1996). Since joining Wellex Global Equities, Inc in 1997, he continuously served as Marketing Manager until becoming the Company’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Commerce at the University of the East in 1977.
